I am so excited to announce my online streamable class about the business-side of voice over, The Workflow of VO! The videos from the first lesson are streamable on November 7th and then new lessons are released every Monday for the following six weeks. This class is about the daily ins and outs of a […]
Sooooo, it’s high time I announce that I did the name pronunciation feature for Facebook. Every single account in the US, all 162.9 million of them, has this feature available, should they want to use it. Here are the instructions to enable it on your own page. Doing this job was a crazy process. I learned […]
In this day and age and in my line of work, it’s common to have stretches where I am working regularly, but none of the jobs are local. I do the job, turn it in, and then the client uses it in their local market. So I never get to hear it run and I […]
This wacky job took three sessions to match the VO up to the animation and find the right balance of a Greek-ish accent. After the entire spectrum I think we settled on 40% Greek-ish sounding:) Either way the job was fun and I love doing sessions at Eleven Studios and Juice Studios!
Christmas was a blur for me this year. On December 16th, I decided to take on another project with my handy mom (I’ll post about the custom murphy bed she and I built some other time), and so I headed with her to Home Depot to buy supplies. I had the plans and a dvd […]
I have been wanting to talk about these since I started working on them last NOVEMBER!! First of all, I’m honored to be cast in a project about Linux, and second, I was thrilled to be involved in an animated long term project like this. The copy was so fun and well written that it was easy […]
Did I mention I taught a VO workshop in Seattle last weekend? This was different from the Business of Voice Over workshop that I teach in that it’s geared towards the actor with a local agent. This workshop teaches ya how to turn around a vo audition when you get one, plus you come out […]
This was fun. I was hired by a pretty cool boutique agency in Austin called Proof Advertising. Did the session from my home studio and this time, Source Connect Now didn’t cut it. These guys are one of many studios (on the cutting edge imo) who are phasing out ISDN lines and using more […]
Every once in a while I do a job that’s so cute I can’t resist sharing it. It’s been a very exciting year, full of gigs that I’m not allowed talk about, so my sharing has tapered off. But this campaign, currently running in Canada, didn’t seem to mind. Such cute animation! Here are two […]
I’m so happy to have Source Connect in my studio. ISDN lines are old technology and very expensive to maintain. This is the perfect alternative to route would-be ISDN sessions through my studio. The price and quality are so much better which leads to a smooth session that keeps my clients coming back. Actually, you […]
